The wholesale giant opened up a new 79,000-square-foot club on 48th Street which opened on Friday, Jan. 29, making it the company’s 45th location in New York and 221st across the country.

At BJ’s, club members will have their option of a wide assortment of fresh foods, a full-service deli, and household essentials such as paper and cleaning products, diapers, and pet care supplies.

Other items available include seasonal toys, clothes, footwear, electronics, and a variety of local products.

“We’re excited to expand our footprint here in New York with the opening of our newest club in Long Island City,” Antonio Ramos, general manager of the Long Island City BJ’s, said in a statement. “Our team members have worked tirelessly to prepare for the club opening, and we’re so excited to bring a safe and convenient shopping experience to the local community.”

According to the company, "BJ’s touts everyday low prices of 25 percent less than grocery store prices for national-brand household staples."

The company noted that it’s the only warehouse club that accepts all manufacturers’ coupons, and its stores offer more fresh food than other wholesale clubs, including produce, meat, deli, and bakery items.

The opening of BJ’s in Long Island coincides with another location celebrating its grand opening last month in Orange County.

“We’re thrilled to expand our presence in New York and bring outstanding value and savings to families in Long Island City and Newburgh,” BJ’s President and CEO Lee Delaney stated when announcing the new clubs this past summer.

“BJ’s brings a fresh approach to the wholesale club experience by providing our members with outstanding value and convenience on everything they need for their family.”
